Description

Pitxuskaritza is a word invented by the youngest helpers on the project. They themselves define it as teamwork, friendship, equality, and coexistence with nature. And also as a playful allusion to the absurd, to play, and to the fun we can find in every moment of the day. A whole philosophy to live by!
The mural depicts nature changing through the seasons. Hidden among the leaves are treasures of the village and the mountain: the Romanesque arch of the church, the prized perretxikos, the dam near the village, the fox occasionally seen in the surroundings… and, also hidden, an elephant! (the absurd).
On the lower part of the water tank, a mosaic was built representing water and stones — known locally as cascajos.
This mural, like the rest of those in the municipality of San Millán, was sponsored by its Town Hall.
