Christina Werckmeister is co-founder of the IMVG, an artist and painter. In 2007, together with Verónica Werckmeister and Brenan Duarte, she co-founded the Vitoria-Gasteiz Mural Itinerary.
She is the architect of the project's overall vision, and the driving force behind innovative public-art practices such as the Brigadas de la Brotxa, audiovisual documentation workshops (the "digital tag"), and the application of pioneering techniques like video mapping. Her practice combines large-scale mural painting with the direction of participatory workshops, helping to establish the collaborative methodology that defined the project throughout its twelve years of activity. She has managed every aspect of more than 40 large-scale murals over the past seven years.
