The title, The Thread of Time, comes from the historic reality of the square, which in medieval times was a textile marketplace.
A diverse group of 13 volunteers, artists and non-artists alike, participated alongside the lead artists on this 225 m2 wall. . After 2 weeks of intense design meetings, it took 4 weeks to paint the mural using an automatic scaffold donated by Fundacion Catedral Santa María. The high quality GOLDEN acrylic paint was donated by the Sam and Adele Golden Foundation. The protective and anti-graffitti varnish (HLG System) was donated and applied by Gratet.
The mural was inaugurated at a public ceremony, party and performance created specifically for the occasion by Mary Zurbano, an actress, performer and vounteer on the mural project.
Miren Elorrieta, Begoña Fernández, Norbert Fuente, Tomás Galindo, Ines Gonzalez de Zárate, Ramon Goñi, Haritz Larriñaga, Eva Amezagaray, Mary Zurbano, Maite Beitia, Guadalupe Serrano, Marta García, Mila Bretón.
